THE MEAN MACHINE

By current standards, my PC is probably just average, but to me it's awesome. Here's the breakdown of what kind of system I currently own:

• Intel Pentium II 266 MMX Processor
• 64 MB SDRAM
• ATI XPert @ Play 97 4MB AGP
• Diamond Monster 3D II
• 4.3 GB Seagate Ultra DMA hard drive
• Acer 32x CD ROM drive
• Creative Labs Sound Blaster AWE 64
• 17" Acer 76e 0.28 dot pitch SVGA monitor
• AOpen 56K V.90 modem
• Gravis XTerminator game pad
• Altec Lansing System 45.1 multimedia speakers

Gotta love those Acer products. The most recent addition was my speakers; since I got my computer I was using these $18 plastic El Cheapos. My next addition will definitely be a positional audio sound card, most likely a Diamond Monster Sound MX300 (A3D 2.0).

This section will probably end up being where I discuss the gear I'm thinking of adding to my system.
